The Polo Club is The Windsor Court’s storied cocktail lounge, and one of New Orleans’ most beloved local institutions. Equal parts classic bar and lively scene, it pours classic cocktails and an extensive spirits list alongside elevated pub fare, with live music filling the room every night.
Yes, every single night. Local jazz piano artists set the tone through the week, and on weekends a popular soul and jazz band brings the room alive with a crowd of local regulars and guests. It’s the rare hotel bar where the entertainment isn’t for the hotel; the hotel just happens to be upstairs.
The Polo Club opens at 11:30 AM daily, closing at 11 PM Sunday through Thursday and at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Music is featured nightly from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, and also from 9 PM to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
None at all. There is no cover to walk in, whether you are staying with us or simply out for the evening; only the usual food and beverage pricing applies. The music is our gift; the martini is on you.
The Polo Club does not take reservations. Every seat is first come, first served, for hotel guests and locals alike, from the 11:30 AM opening until 11:00 PM Sunday through Thursday and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. On weekends the room fills quickly, so arrive early if you have your heart set on a particular corner.
Elevated pub fare with a New Orleans twist. From Osetra caviar service to pigs in a blanket with Creole mustard, the menu includes salads, cheese, charcuterie, burgers, flatbreads, and sweets. Food is served daily from 11:30 AM to 11 PM, long enough to cover lunch, dinner, and whatever late night snack you may need.
The Polo Club is where The Windsor Court’s British soul lets loose its New Orleans side: a refined room, hung with original art and sporting treasures, that gets more spirited as the night deepens. On the best nights it is, frankly, a party: locals and hotel guests mingle with the band playing and the room singing along. Come as you are; leave when you must!
Open to everyone. The Polo Club is a favorite of locals looking for a refined night out and of hotel guests who would rather not go far for a memorable evening. Room key or not, the welcome is the same.
All ages are welcome earlier in the day. After 8:00 PM the room is reserved for guests 18 and older, as the evening turns to cocktails and live music.
Pets are not permitted in The Polo Club, though service animals are always welcome.
The Polo Club began its life as a cigar bar, but today the room is entirely non-smoking.
Yes, in the great New Orleans go-cup tradition, our bartender will happily transfer your drink to a cup for the walk. The glassware, we are afraid, stays home with us.
